Seasons

Today, our Bermuda grass in our yard is attempting to change and go dormant for the winter.

As I watched my husband cut the grass late yesterday evening a thought came to mind. We live in an area of the south where we have a type of grass called Bermuda grass that can withstand high summer heat in southern regions without brown spots appearing from sun damage and requires very little watering. Being that we have been on water restrictions for a year, it has be great having a heat tolerant grass. We only ran the sprinkle system 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes in each zone. This was enough to keep the grass healthy.
However, in the fall, the Bermuda grass goes dormant and turns a light blonde/straw color. The green color of the grass begins to appear on its own around March or April in our zone (also depending on how well you take care of it). I will try to post a picture of when it has gone dormant 100%.

I am saying all of this to say that we all go through Seasons (Ecclesiasies 3:1) in our life. They do not last forever. Just remember that no storm or season lasts forever. Whatever Season that we may be experiencing in our life, remember, that it is not forever. Everything is done for a reason. Although we may not know the reason at that particular time; it is done with purpose.

For example, our grass was nice, green and plush with new blooms coming from our flowers early summer. Now, its October and things that we planted have died and dried up, or they are beginning to die. However, they will return next year as promised for the perennials.

So, we must learn to walk by faith and not by sight with things that God promises us. I felt like this may help someone that is going through and they are waiting for their season to come.
