Lets play what price is right?
Today, I dropped my dog off for grooming and shots. I left from there and met some friends at the outlets to go shopping today. While I was having lunch with my coworker, my husband called to say that our dog was ready to be picked up. He asked me was I aware of the amount of the bill. I said, no, but I knew that it was going to be a grip because he was getting his shots updated for the year in addition to his regular grooming. My husband advised me that his bill was $274.00 in the second phone call. I thought that it was kind of funny with the expression in his voice.
My husband picked him up from and arrived home before I arrived home from my day out shopping at the outlets. He was groomed beautifully as usual and all of his shots were updated so now we can send in all of his records to complete that part of the adoption paperwork. I told my husband to really think about it, the only time we spend big bucks on the dog is for his shots during the year because he rarely gets sick.
He gets regular grooming every 6 weeks for him as recommended by his groomer. However, we will need to have his cherry eyes tucked this summer. We had the surgery done at 6 months when they first popped out, however they returned a few months later after a $800.00 surgery procedure. We will probably take him back this summer since he is 5 now and the cherry eyes itch and cause him more irritation during allergy season, but we keep them flushed and administer allergy medication as recommended when he needs it.
So, I am going to play the price is right. Who do you think costs more money today......
Mocha or Mommy?
You guessed it.....the dog!
I actually got a deal on the pink bag today at 50% off. I was surprised to see so many bags that just came out around the holidays already in the outlets marked down. I didn't do so bad at all. I got a $500.00 bag for $160.00 and some perfume (not on sale). That was a pretty good deal for me. The bag was 50% off and they were giving away 10% coupons as we entered the store. The store was so crowded that I had to hurry up and get what I needed so that I could get out. I do not care for crowds. I guess everyone else was out on today catching the Presidents Day sales!
I decided that I would go back on Wednesday morning because I saw another large bag while we were at the register checking out that I saw around Christmas that I wanted but I did not want to pay full price for it. My co-workers frequent those particular outlets a lot since they live close by to them. I have tried to stay away from a bunch of shopping lately for myself since we are trying to finish up with the nursery and adoption costs, but you can't neglect yourself.
I work hard, save, play hard and give to others. So, I have learned to balance things and treat myself as I see fit! Actually, the sales have been fabulous since the economy has not been that great. I have been able to take advantage of the great bargains on clothing, house items, furniture and everything.

Soror, my parents use to say, "Take care of your pet dog because you might need him to take care of you one day".
Yes, Soror E, We take very good care of him. He is such a delight and great company. I love this dog so much.
I love your purse and your doggie!
Both can get a little pricey, but they are so worth it.
You are right Angela, they both can get a little pricey, but he is definitely worth it. He is a living being and must have care just like us. I did get the purse for a steal on President's day! It is soooo cute, it is a soft bubble gum pink, but not bright bubble gum.
I was quite proud of myself. It was too many folks in there though. People had bags and bags in their hands! I told my coworker, " I thought we were in a recession?"
