We found ourselves out on Christmas Eve picking up some last minute small items. We had to run to Toys R Us to find a particular game cartridge for a particular educational toy. The traffic getting to the the shopping area was rough, but Toys R Us wasn't so bad.
I think that we actually enjoying getting out for a short period on Christmas Eve just to see what was going on and to get us lunch since we were headed back to cook for the remainder of the evening.
