Yes We Can.....Answered Prayers

Tonight was so emotional. I was sitting on the sofa watching CNN and looking at the numbers that they were posting and then out of the blue, it flashed across the screen that Obama is Presidential Elect. I cried the entire night (mascara burning my eyes) and it actually seemed like a dream. From the time of the announcement, my cell phone was blowing up with texts from friends from around the country filled with joy because we won. I had one girlfriend from NC that sent me a text me and she asked how could I let my state (the one we reside in) go to the Republicans! I told her that this state has always been Republican, but it didn't matter, because Obama still made it!
I am so happy that we have not only made history as African Americans in this country, but we have chosen a leader that represents all of us, from all walks of life.
These were truly answered prayers for our nation. This shows all of our children that with perseverance we can achieve what seems impossible to others!
