Revisiting Store #1

Today we went to Store #1 to take pictures so that we can make a decision on these furniture pieces.  We went to Bellini's and we spent time looking at our previous selections, the Alexander crib and the Vanessa crib. Ironically, both cribs that we were interested in and all the pieces were actually available, which is somewhat strange. Their turn around time is typically 12-14 weeks. They were also offering 20% off on all furniture. The salesperson advised us that if we wanted it we could just put down 50% on the furniture and they would hold it as long as we needed it held.
At this point, we are kind of stuck because since visiting Bellini's a while back, our decorating style for the room has changed to more of a eclectic style and we have kind of opted against purchasing a 'whole set' look.  We found a crib that we really liked a store #2 and we are steadily trying to make the pieces work since we thought that the armoire that came with the crib that we really liked at store #2 was too adult looking.
We gathered the information, took pictures and headed to the Cheese Cake Factory to have a little bite and try to figure out what we were going to do regarding the nursery furniture.
Here are a few pics of our afternoon of shopping and going out to eat.  By the way, you would not think that we are in a recession by looking at how crowded the mall was today. It was crazy crowded in the parking lot with basically Valet parking and a few paid parking spots left.

I love the Alexander. It looks antique and I like antiques.

We like the Alexander crib too, but we undecided with the whole set. I like antique as well, but I think we were trying to go for a different look after we found another crib. We may have to go with the Alexander or Vanessa crib because it makes sense.

You should try contacting them to see where the closest store is because I am sure that you can still order from them if you found something there. They are currently having 20% sales off now on all of their furnishings. I guess everyone is feeling it with the economy.

Girl, the shipping cost will probably absorb the 20% off for me. I'll bet there's one in Nashville. We'll probably drive to A-town soon, we'll look around.

Hey

I know you said you were looking for bedding. We may have similar taste..check out Polka Tot Designs. I also found out Calico Corners will custom make crib bedding as well.

Thanks Angela,
Bellinis does custom bedding and has pre-designed custom bedding for sale that is fabulous and affordable. Store #3 has custom bedding as well. We looked through like 4 huge books for bedding when we were there as well. I will check out your spots and see what they say. I am actually a fan of going to two of our fabric stores here and taking it to one of the places to get it made at the store or a seamstress that I use for custom window treatments if all of the others fall through, but I doubt it! Let me know if you come through, we can show you a few spots to check out and get ideas.
