New background colors for a new phase...

I decided to go ahead and change the background of the blog. I absolutely love Chocolate and Pink. Of course, I love Pink and Green too, but I decided to put the Chocolate and Pink background. My husband actually designed a custom background to put on the blog last month, but I have not figured out how to paste it on using the custom templates. Oh, well. Until then, this will be fine. This represents a new phase in our adoption journey.

By the way, I have a chocolate and pink office in my home with expresso units and chocolate and pink accent walls. Hubby built the 2 cornice boards for me last Christmas as a little surprise and put the fabric on them that I found at a local fabric store here a month earlier.
He went to a friends work shop that builds custom cabinetry one night and the friend helped him construct them since they were so large. We have the sunroom layout in the office with two walls of windows, so the cornices were long.
He brought them home and the next thing I knew they were covered and hung the weekend before Christmas.
The chocolate and pink silk fabric actually cost more than the actually cornice board construction with the wood! He took the extra fabric that we had left from the cornices and made tie backs for the curtains.
I actually found the silk curtains last fall on sale at the The Silk Trading Company for an excellent deal because the penelope pink was being discontinued. I believe that I purchased all 4 silk window treatments that are lined for under $600.00. Those who know about the prices of window treatments know that this is a deal, even out of the box. So, these treatments and this room was my inspiration for changing our blog background.

Here is one wall of the Chocolate and pink cornice. I have them tied back tighter since they are so full and our dog loves looking out of the windows every day into the back yard and side yard. It irritates me when he wants to take a nap around the bottom of the window treatments.

That's a pretty good deal for 4 pre-made panels. I like your new background. The little polka-dots are cute!

Thanks Angela. It was time for a change. I was trying to get the custom one one but we will figure that out later. It was time. We will eventually get the custom background up. For right now, this will do fine!

Yes, I got a really good bargain on the 4 panels that are 108 inches I believe. It was incredible. I try to keep them pulled back so that the office doesn't look too formal with them.
