Sneak Peek of the crib!
Here is a cropped picture of the crib that we took in the store when we placed our order and we never posted any pictures of our final selections.
Hubby said that it was okay to crop the picture to post since it is not really showing anything. I have a few people that wanted to see what it actually looked like. Well, here is what I am showing to give you an idea.
I will post pictures of the nursery once the items have arrived at our home and are in place while we are finishing the room.
I am trying to be really good and not post pictures until later. I think that this is easier for men than for women!

Don't let the picture fool you with the color. It actually has an Antique Black finish with some gold finishes. It has an appearance of an Expresso in person with lighting and thats why we really liked it.
Once we made the purchase, I was actually excited about decorating the nursery.

We are looking forward to pulling it all together. I think we did pretty good and we were frugal as well with our purchases.
Let's just say that the current economic condition was on our side when we were purchasing, as well as timing! When it is all done, I will try to post where we purchased the different nursery items.

Looks great! Make sure you take a before and after shot of the room for when you're ready to reveal. I think it's great that you're keeping it a secret. I look forward to seeing it all put together.

Yes Mam! I have been taking pictures since day 1. I take pictures at every stage. I may not post them all, and I have not posted many, but I have them organized in Iphoto as well. I have posted a few pictures of the the nursery in early transition in the past.
I will definitely post our decorating transformation process. I will have it captured on film for sure! I have had other AP's to tell me to capture all of that because some forgot to and it is something that you can use in their life book.
I will also show some updated progress as we are decorating and transforming. I will not leave you in the dark totally!
really nice. I went w/a dark wood for the crib, but then I had to redo thing, and now I have white twin beds!!

Twin beds are cool Celeste! It is a lot of fun to pull together a room for a toddler and older children because the room is not temporary like a nursery.
You can really make it girly! I am sure that you are enjoying pulling your girl's room together.

We are slowly but surely pulling things together. Lord, it takes time, patience and energy! I feel you on catching up on blogs.
I go for a little bit and then I slack off from posting. I am really blogging more so for me so that we can have an organized account of the events that took place in our life and put it into our scrap book later.
