If you like great card stock and unique items for themes...
Today I stopped by one of my favorite stores after a quick doctors appointment. This store has a wonderful selection of cards, stationary, invitations and anything that you can think of. They have a huge baby section with cards and unique gifts for all types of occasions. I believe in sharing resources when you find a really good spot that meets your needs.
I forgot to take pictures inside the store because I was on a mission to find some pretty cards to use as thank you cards to send to some special people who helped us with our adoption process. I snapped a picture from the outside.
If you are really into themed events, beautiful cards and unique items, then this store is really helpful. They have all of the plates and neat things that go along with your theme. I do not go there often, but I do know that they always have what I need when I go.
For instance, the first smmer that we were in our home we we had a large 4th of July function and I purchased a huge hamburger plate to put the hamburgers on. It is a colorful plate that had a hamburger design. I also purchased one for hot dogs and unique condiment containers. I also used their printing services the same year to print our Christmas Card Party invites and envelopes because we cut it too close to design our own and I needed them sent out after Thanksgiving. I did not have enough time to have my hubby design a card for us, so we used their services and it was a quick turn around.
I stayed focused today and only picked up my card stock and some beautiful thank you cards! I hope that someone will find the store fun and useful as I have!

I like Swoozies too. We had one in the area. I'm not sure if it made it through the recession though. Great store....
Looks like a great store. Wish I could just walk around and shop. Ohh!! I just saw they have one close by. And now I remember wondering what Swoozies was when I saw it.

Our store seems to be striving and doing well. They are in a central location in midtown as well. I guess its because its a metroplitan city and their location is a plus. It was plenty of traffic going in and out when I was there. I had never heard of them before 2004. Someone told me about it and I have visited there with them looking for some things and I picked up a few items. I went back by myself and the rest is history.
I am sure the locations that are not in major cities are not doing well.

It is a great store. They have some awesome things. You would really enjoy going in there picking out some items tailored for you because you are very creative.
Kristy...I love Swoozie's! I normally get a gift card in some amount for special holidays. I love anything monogrammed, so they are also the place to go for that as well. I feel like I go into that store at least once every two weeks :)

Ooooh, I love Swoozies! They really do have some of the cutest stuff.
They really do have unique items! I have to remain focused when I visit there. It is so easy to get carried away.
