I hope that everyone had a Happy Valentines Day this past week. I celebrated a birthday prior to Valentines week and it was a wonderful birthday surprise weekend. My husband managed to get with my parents and arrange for them to fly in for my birthday weekend and surprise me. Great time with family and friends and big surprises. It is really hard to surprise me and pull something like this over and they did. He also did a slide show from birth through my new age! Really nice.
I had a wonderful week and the picture above is special custom Valentines Day card that my hubby made for me, from my son. It was very unexpected because I was thinking that it would be a cute card that he would find in the card store, so it was totally unexpected. I really appreciated it. I think he just wanted to surprise me with something different. I never know what to expect.
I'm also attaching the Christmas card that we sent out to family and close friends. We used a photo that we had taken over Thanksgiving out of state. We used the photo and my husband and I created a Christmas card with one of the photos that we had taken. The first picture is a picture of the ornament that my husband made and that was one of the little gifts from my son.
For those who wanted to know, the other gift from my son was a pandora bracelet with significant charms that he let my son "help him" pick out. He was so proud that he was able to go to the store with his Daddy and help with his gift. He kept threatening me over the holidays that he was going to take my bracelet back whenever we corrected him about his behavior and told him that we would remove certain toys. It was hilarious.
We are deep with completing all of his birthday party designs. I guess I need to really get on the ball and just post the pictures from last years birthday party and the showers. I will. I will!

Kristy...Happy Belated Birthday! I hope to start sewing your gift on tomorrow night...I SUCK :( What an adorable Valentine's Day Card and ornament....I need to post a photo of what I made for Kayden's class! Don't you just love being a mama :)
Thanks! No worries! We talked that day and the day after. Thats llthat matters. I clearly understand. I have been ghost for a while here.
The parent advisory board hosted a party for the kids as well. I'm on the board and I designed labels for the goodie bags. We gave them cake, punch and goodie bags. They had parties in their classrooms and then our party was around 4pm. They danced and played in the common area by class and had a ball. I didn't bring my camera because I came straight from work and I wasn't thinking. The kids were tired from dancing and slept well! I will try to post PDF for label later.
Yes, I love being a Mommy and I love doing special things for kids! It's a high for me! My involvement with my family and the community is what keeps me absent from posting here. At least it's a great thing and I'm far from idle.
I will show pictures of the stuff we designed for the fall festival / open house. They came out cute. I'm going to try to post a few more pics this afternoon.
Happy Belated Birthday!!
What a cute card and ornament! Your little guy always looks so adorable. He has the nicest clothes!
Thank you Angela! It was a milestone....
Thanks, he wears little uniforms during the week, so we are able to let him wear his other clothing on the weekends. It makes it a lot easier since he has been in uniforms. Now, it is just making sure that he wears everything and I prefer to let him wear the items a couple of times.
We had way too many clothes that had tags on them at the end of the summer/fall that he did not get an opportunity to wear due to growing kind of quickly at times. (I am sure that your gbabe is the same way).
I wanted him to wear everyone's clothing gifts, but sometimes it just does not work out. We are packing things now to put away that are too small and saving for the next one or may give them away to great friends who will take care of the items that we want to give away. Once we know for sure that there will not be any more boys!
He has been asking for a baby sister or brother since before Christmas....stay tuned.
