the front side of my home before snow melted!
Our foot gear
Oh, she was excited that snow was falling!
It snowed here on Friday (yesterday) and we enjoyed it. The snow is disappearing already! Here are a few pictures taken last night (she is in a pink coat) and today (she is in a black jacket).
My hubby and one of my next door neighbors built a snowman behind their home. They had a ball. I guess you can tell who they were pulling for in the game last weekend despite certain favorite teams did not make it (per my hubby).
Enjoy!

The snow is really pretty. Too bad it doesn't hang around for long down here. We still have some in our mulch, but that's it.
I like they baby's little hat and those cute little boots too. Oh... I hope she gets to stay with you guys.
Yep, it is pretty much gone. I heard we may get some more on Monday. We will see.
Thanks, thats one of her many hat and glove sets. I tried to get different colors that would go with her different outfits because we believe in keeping her head covered during the winter.
We have entertained the thought of keeping her through Kindergarten to make sure that she is on track. Her mother is cool with it. She has enough to keep her busy right now. I want to make sure that she is where she needs to be when we send her back and has developed a character that is pleasing due to exposure.
Kindergarten is such an impressionable year. We want her to have a chance to succeed in life!
Looks like you guys had some fun. It has been snowing like every other day here. We had some this morning and we are supposed to get somemore tonight.
You are so right about kindergarten Kristi. They say that you get most of the skills you need during that grade. She looks so happy.
Thanks, KMR,
We did have a little fun in the snow while it lasted.
Yes, we would like for her to have a good foundation before we allow her to return. I am sure letting her go back will be hard on us all, but they were already in our lives, so it is not like we will not see her. Some people tend to believe that she will end up living with us permanently for a while. Hummm, I am not for sure about that yet! LOL
Great photos, looks like someone got a new cool camera :-)
Yes mam Alisa, I purchased the camera back in the summer girl! Where have you been--I thought that you knew this? LOL
I am still learning and practicing with settings. I am not totally comfortable with the manual settings yet when I am taking pictures outside my home. I am afraid that I am going to miss a good shot!
Now, I have another lens on my wish list and another flash (external flash). It is always something!
I took a blogging break this past summer so I probably missed it, oops! Did you go with a Nikon or Cannon? I probably won't be able to get one until next year sometime.
Alisa,
I went with the Canon 50D. I love it. I am exploring purchasing another Canon that will give me more depth wise for the future so that we will have this one and another one. Right now, I am getting ready to invest in another lens. I am still learning the camera and the settings. I am trying to become more comfortable with the manual settings so that I can have the pictures like I want.
Great shots Kristy. Looks like everyone had a banging time! I luv Serenity's boots. Sooooo cute.
Thanks Terrie! I am trying to use the camera more and I am trying to branch out. We did have a ball! For sure! I was freezing though! I took a ton of pictures. The kids had a blast. Serenity is still bugged out over the fact that the snowman is almost gone to the ground!
Oh yeah, Terrie, I am working on another blog site where I can control who sees my pictures and posts if I like. I will let you know when I am done. I guess the will eliminate all of the people who come just to look at pictures and really don't have an interest and never comment! I know, I am mean! However, we are in that type of society now where we need to control more things.
