Updates..finally!

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to post any pictures! We have been busy with our new little one and I will be playing catch up on the blog over the next few days and next week.

So, to make this post short and sweet. I will post these few pictures and share later how God orchestrated this baby into our lives and how things worked out. We were told about him by a mutual friend when he was only a few months old and I also knew the lady (foster mom) who took care of him since birth. Long story short, here we are getting him. Not as a new born, however, we are fine with that because he was meant to be in our home.

I am sure many of my followers are surprised because I originally desired an infant girl first. However, I am sure that will come later! One way or the other I will get to use the baby girl items in the future. Right now, they are happily stored in storage containers in our basement and labeled. My little boy has stolen my heart and I just could not ask for a better situation.

Right now, I am totally in love with my "little man" and when I say that this baby is truly our Gift from God and how this thing was orchestrated by God. It truly is. He is a wonderful baby/toddler and he is so sweet. He has adjusted perfectly to our home and things have gone great. It is almost unbelievable of how well things have gone. I am sure that it did help that we spent some time with him prior to him being placed in our home so that we were a familiar face to him. Besides one or two nights the first week of waking up calling out for me and then going right back to sleep after I would hold him and rock him for about 10 minutes, he has been the perfect child. We expected a lot more difficulties adjusting the first few weeks. However, things have gone way better than we anticipated as new parents of a toddler. I thank God everyday for his happy and calm spirit. He is so full of joy everyday and he loves hugs and kisses. God answers prayers and he answers them right on time. He gives you what you need and not necessarily what you want at the time. I am so glad he does!

My husband is just thrilled and loves this baby as well and does not know what to do with himself! I can't even begin to share how much my family and close friends have blessed him with things and spoiled him already. Believe it or not, he just celebrated a birthday and we literally had two weeks to prepare for a birthday party prior to his arrival. I will share more pictures later this week.

For those who have questions about the process. His tpr was done back in the summer, so that makes our situation a little easier. We just have to go through the process of the visits by the casework and finalization after the set amount of months of visits have taken place by the agency. Typical time period is about 6 months from placement to finalization and some happen a little quicker. You can also email me privately if you have questions about the process.
